about

Mili Elsa Abraham is a nurse with international education, having migrated to British Columbia, Canada, in the year 2012. During that period, the transition process for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) posed considerably greater challenges than the present scenario. Throughout her journey, she encountered numerous obstacles and difficulties, including a notable struggle to successfully complete the NCLEX exam.

Fortuitously, Mili found an exceptional tutor who not only bolstered her confidence but also played a pivotal role in ensuring her success in the exam. This transformative experience inspired her to make a personal commitment to assist and support her fellow IENs to the best of her capabilities. Driven by this commitment, she has had the opportunity to extend her assistance to many individuals within her community, resulting in numerous success stories.

background

In 2007, Mili earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from KMCH College of Nursing, accredited to Dr. MGR University, Tamil Nadu, India, where she distinguished herself as a gold medalist and the outstanding student of her class. Subsequently licensed as a registered nurse and midwife, she gained valuable experience in the Acute Care Setting until her relocation to Canada in 2012.

Initially, she assumed the role of a health science instructor, teaching prerequisite courses such as Biology and Anatomy Physiology during the transitioning process of being registered in British Columbia. This period exposed her to the Canadian healthcare system, fostering a deep understanding of nursing programs, licenses, exams, and standards, fueling her passion for advancing in nursing education. Obtaining her nursing license in 2016, Mili worked in diverse residential/long-term care facilities and acute care within the Fraser Health authority. Notably, she served as a Practical Nursing Coordinator, overseeing programs and contributing to the successful graduation and job placement of numerous nursing students. Managing a team of LPNs and RNs, she played a pivotal role in program delivery and continued to inspire both within and outside her role, volunteering to assist fellow IENs. With over a decade in the nursing education industry in British Columbia, Mili pursued her Master's in Educational Leadership at Simon Fraser University, achieving an "A" in May 2022. Her research thesis, focused on "Enhancing the Transitioning Process of IENs in BC," reflects her enduring passion and marks a significant achievement in her career advancement in leadership.

She is currently working as a Faculty of Nursing at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

passion and dream

Over the years, Mili has dedicated herself to the field of nursing education, making significant contributions to various post-secondary schools. Her impact is evident in the success of numerous student nurses (LPNs) and internationally educated nurses (IENs) from her community, all of whom achieved exceptional results in their exams under her guidance.

As Mili's passion for nursing education deepened, the encouragement and support from her family, colleagues, students, and friends became a driving force. Recognizing her ability to help individuals realize their dreams, many urged her to establish her own tutoring support services. After years of unwavering perseverance and tireless effort, Mili felt it was the right time to create her own space, a platform where she could continue mentoring and supporting nurses worldwide aspiring to make Canada their home.

This vision materialized into the establishment of "Elzaint Coaching & Transitioning Guidance/Services". Through this venture, Mili aims to extend her expertise and guidance to nurses globally, fostering their journey toward success in Canada.
